Want to get a CTK Worship Center established in your area? It’s simpler than you might think. We’ve established a simple 4 step process to help pastorpreneurs move through the process.
4 STEPS TO LEADERSHIP DEPLOYMENT AT CTK
1. BEFRIEND US (get acquainted)
Have you visited a small group or worship center?
If you live within driving distance of an existing CTK worship center or small group, you’ll want to make a visit to that location. You can use the “Find Us” tool to determine where the nearest site is, and to find others in your area who may be interested in helping to start a CTK.
Have you taken the online tour and read our materials?
We have developed an online tour called the "CTK Path" which will lead you through the most important parts of our website step by step. To start the tour, click here.
You may also want to read through our "CTK Orientation".
These materials will help you understand what is important to CTK, how we’re organized, and what our culture is like. We realize CTK is a different kind of church, so the first step in starting a CTK Worship Center is making sure you understand how we are different than most churches.Have you gotten to know any of our leaders?
Once you become familiar with the materials on our website, you’ll want to make contact with the CTK leader nearest you. In some cases this person may be only miles away, or they may be in a different state or country. You can use the “Find Us” tool to find the nearest CTK leader.
Each CTK Pastor is equipped to help answer your questions about CTK, and will be glad to share with you their story as well as hear yours. Getting to know an existing CTK leader is a key to the deployment process both before your launch and after.
2. RESONATE WITH US (get serious)
Does your personal mission, vision and values intersect with CTK's mission, vision and values?
Having familiarized yourself with the CTK culture through the website and personal contact with a leader, it’s time for some introspection. Do you feel that you could be at home leading the charge to change the spiritual landscape in your community with CTK? More than that, do you feel you could thrive in a network such as ours?
Do you feel called to this story?
Do you sense that God is up to something in bringing you to this point with CTK? Is God creating a passion for doing the hard work it will take to get a worship center started? Has God confirmed in any other ways that your involvement in CTK is more than just a dream?
We encourage you to take some time to pray, journal, and talk to other trusted Christian leaders about your interest in CTK. This will help you begin to clarify how exactly you see yourself becoming part of the story.
3. CONNECT WITH US (get engaged)
Have you gotten to know any of our leaders? After moving through steps 1 and 2, it’s time for some more conversations with the CTK leader you made contact with in step 1. Keep talking about whatever questions, concerns, hopes, and dreams you have about getting a CTK started in your area.
Have you started a small group?
The foundation for a CTK worship center is a network of small groups. But of course a network starts with one group. If you are serious about seeing a CTK Worship Center in your area, you need to start by gathering a team of people around you in a small group. Visit the Small Groups area of our site for helpful resources for getting a CTK small group started.
Begin talking to others you know who should be a part of the CTK story. Invite people you meet who need to experience the benefits of Christian community. Share with them your dream of seeing a CTK Worship Center beginning to transform the spiritual landscape of your community.
As your group grows, be sure to identify an apprentice leader and begin training them to lead their own group soon.
4. JOIN WITH US (go public)
Have you been sponsored by a leader in our story?
Being sponsored is a step beyond just simply getting to know a leader in the CTK movement. An existing CTK leader will sponsor you once they sense you “get” the CTK way of building the Kingdom of God, and that you have been successful in gathering a group of people who are invested in your vision.
What does sponsorship mean? Sponsorship means that another CTK leader is ready to stand with you in the public development of a CTK Worship Center. Your sponsoring leader will assist you through the process of going from small group(s) to a public worship service.
Have you completed the Memo Of Understanding?
The Memo Of Understanding is a document you sign that says you agree with CTK’s mission, vision, and values, doctrinal statement, and culture. It is your way of saying “I get it and I’m willing to commit to being a contributing part of the CTK movement.”
